Their Methlab begun its musical journey around 2011 in northwestern Greece, in the city of Ioannina. This region of the country rich with post-apocalyptic-like nature scenery, face melting wind melodies and almighty mountains incubated their music as she emerged in the form of long, heavy, groovy, psy instrumental jams.
The Last Second is the first full length album of the band and comes as a reward after all these music making years. In order to capture the magic, it was recorded live. The result is a mixture of sharp grooves, dreamy yet aggresive guitar melodies and tight bass lines.
Recordings took place at BlackBox Studio and for the mixing and mastering process they worked besides the good lads at Unreal Studio (Planet of Zeus, Puta Volcano, etc). Over the years they have shared the stage with a number of great bands that where Influential to their sound, such as: Jakob (NZ), Toundra (ES), Elder (USA), Samsara Blues Experiment (DE). As of 2017, headquarters of Methlab facilities (both recidency and laboratories) moved in the center of Athens.
